New Host Code and Bubble Over Celebration Card

DSC_0018

Here is a happy card for you! It is certainly bright and cheery, perfect for a celebration! You could use this for a birthday or for a retirement card or perhaps a job promotion!

This card is made with the  Bubble Over Bundle of products from the Stampin’Up! Occasions Catalog.

I like the details of this card, like the oval shapes behind the bottle. The little dashes around the edge really add a lot. I used the Stitched Shapes Framelits for the white oval and the Layering Ovals Framelits for the scalloped oval.  I added bubbles to the card using sequins and the Glitter and Clear Epoxy Shapes from the Occasions Catalog. The Epoxy Shapes include circle and teardrop or raindrop shapes.

More Lots of Lavender Cards

DSC_0001

This is a Sale-a-bration stamp set called Lots of Lavender. You can earn FREE with a $50 purchase until March 31. This design is very similar to a card in an earlier post, it is just a little different layout. It is very simple! I just love this stamp set! It is so easy to work with. The image is totally colored by stamps in the set. Very clever of Stampin’Up! to design it this way. I added a couple of Gold Faceted Gems to the top and bottom of the card. The colors used are Wisteria Wonder, Pear Pizazz, Sahara Sand. The greeting comes from the Wild About Flowers stamp set.

Here is another idea with this stamp set

DSC_0005

The cardstock is Wisteria Wonder and the Designer Series Paper is retired.  I used the greeting from the Party Pandas stamp set which is another FREE Sale-a-bration stamp set with a $50 purchase.

January Host Code and Coffee Break Class

DSC_0013

Here is another idea using the Coffee Cafe Photopoloymer Stamp Set.  I love the Coffee Break Designer Series Paper! All the images are fabulous! Some you can use with a non coffee theme stamp set too. It is great that Stampin’Up! Designer Series Papers are double sided.

Coffee Break Designer Series Paper

I decided to finish off the inside of my card. I fussy cut the coffee branch and glued it to the top edge of the card with TomBow Multipurpose glue.

DSC_0014

I stamped the coffee cup with Pool Party Stampin’Pad and cut it out using the Big Shot with the appropriate Coffee Cup Framelit. Just absolutely love the coffee beans!!!

DSC_0020

I cut strips from the Burlap ribbon to make the bow. It just tears very easy once you get started since the weave is not tight. I really like the greeting on the front of the card. It is such a simple joy, sharing a cup of coffee with a friend.

I have seen some great samples made with the Sale-a-bration items! Demonstrators can pre-earn these products before customers so we can get them ahead of time. You will not be disappointed in these high quality FREE products!

I have been stamping today and want to show you what I made using the COFFEE BREAK SUITE of products!

DSC_0008

I really enjoy this suite of products that includes the Coffee Cafe Photopolymer Stamp set, Coffee Cups Framelits, and Coffee Break Designer Series Paper. The stamp set and framelits are sold as a bundle too for a savings of 10%.

DSC_0010

I always like to use the little left over strips of Designer Series Paper, don’t want to be wasteful you know! So one idea is to add a strip to the inside of your card.

This is a great set to use for gift card holders.  I have given coffee shop gift cards plenty of times and it is nice to put them in a home made gift card holder. It is a nice touch!

Here is my idea

DSC_0001

This gift card measures.4 1/2″ x 3 1/2″. To make this holder cut a strip of cardstock 3 1/2″ wide by 11 1/2″ long. Score at 4 1/2″ and 9″. Fold at the 9″ score line and tape the edges up using Tear and Tape adhesive (you need a strong hold)!

DSC_0002

So much fun to make!  I just fussy cut the branch with the coffee beans using the paper snips. I just love the coffee beans! There is a coordinating framelit to cut them out! Click here to see this bundle of products in my online store.

Watercoloring with Aqua Painters

watercolor

Here is one of my favorite cards ever! I made this card last year. It was posted on my previous blog. The stamp set is You’ve Got This and it is in the Annual Catalog. This stamp set is so cute! It comes with a background stamp! Which is what I used to stamp the background on this card using Pool Party Stampin’Pad. The cardstock is Pool Party as well.

You've Got This Clear-Mount Stamp Set

Item #139575 You’ve Got This clear mount stamp set

I used the watercoloring technique to color the image using the Aqua-Painters.  The new Stampin’Blends would work perfectly too, but use thick Whisper White cardstock for that technique.  I used Stampin’Up! watercolor paper. To do this technique, just use the Stampin’Pad squeeze it together to pick up ink on the lid using the aqua painter. You can also just add a drop of ink from a ink refill bottle. I colored the flower with Calypso Coral Stampin’Pad. The stem is colored with Old Olive Stampin’Pad.

It just takes a little practice to get use to using the aqua painters. But the results are so pretty! Have a tissue or paper towel handy to remove excess water from the aqua painter brush or remove color from your image if you think it is too much. It will lift the color if it has not dried yet. Add most of your color in the shaded areas of the flower and lighter color where you think light would be hitting the flower. Give it a try, you will really enjoy this technique.

I hope you enjoyed my card and it inspires you to CREATE! See below for the supply list.

Shelly
