Truly Tailored Masculine Card and Treat Holder

Here is a birthday card and treat for the true gentleman in your life! My projects are made with the stamps and accessories in the True Gentleman Suite of products found on page 44 of the Occasions Catalog.

The card is made with Chocolate Chip Cardstock as the base of the card. I adhered the Night of Navy Corduroy Ribbon to the card with Tear and Tape adhesive. I added some Night of Navy Enameled circle shapes to the focal point of the card.

I finished off the inside of the card with a Very Vanilla cardstock panel and stamped the birthday wish with Night of Navy Stampin’Pad. I also stamped a couple of elements that came in the stamp set above and below the sentiment. I added a strip of the True Gentlemen DSP to the bottom of the Very Vanilla panel just to pull it all together.

This is a fun treat holder to make! It uses the 2 ” x  8″ cellophane bags that are in the Annual Stampin’Up! Catalog. The candy is Hershey Nuggets that I wrapped with the True Gentleman DSP just cut the paper to 1″ x 3 1/4″ and adhere with a glue dot. The tray in the treat holder is 2″ x 5″ and each long side is scored at a little less that 1/4″ on each side. I used Night of Navy Cardstock for the tray.

The tag is punched out with the Tailored Tag Punch after stamping with an image from the Truly Tailored Stamp set. The punch and the stamp set are sold as a bundle for a savings of 10%! It is called the Truly Tailored Bundle.

I hope you all like my card and treat holder and it inspires you to CREATE!

Masculine Birthday Card with Vintage Leaves

Here is the last of my fall masculine cards using the Vintage Leaves Stamp set and Leaftlets Framelits Dies. With this card I simply used the remaining negative image when I cut this leaf out for another cardThe cardstock used for the base is Night of Navy. To add interest to the base of the card I add stripes using the Diagonal Stripe Clear Mount Background Stamp. I think it really adds a lot to this simple card.

Diagonal Stripe Clear-Mount Stamp

Diagonal Stripes #141917

To jazz up this card you could stamp the tree image from Lovely as a Tree Stamp set in the middle of the cut out leaf image.

The Cajun Craze panel is adhered to the Whisper White panel with Stampin’Dimensionals. I could have also easily made this a shaker card by adding a window sheet and fill the inside with small die cut leaves in fall colors. So many possibilities!!

Don’t you think the striped background adds a lot? Let me know what you think of my card. I would love to hear your thoughts.

Happy papercrating,

Masculine Cards

Vest and Shirt Card

I thought this was such a cute idea when I saw it online! The card is so striking in person.  It is a great masculine card!

This project is made using the Envelope Punch Board and the Bow Builder Punch.

Let me show you how to make it

Cut a piece of Soft Suede cardstock or color of your choice to 7 7/8″ x 7 7/8″. Then use score line 3 3/8″. Score and punch according to the directions for making an envelope.

This is the finished envelope. Now you are going to cut off the top and bottom flap.

This is what the card will look like after you cut of the top and bottom flap

For the inside of the card cut a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock to 4″ x 6 1/4″.

Cut on the side of the cardstock 1/2″ down from the top. Cut in about 1 1/2″ on each side to make the collar.

Fold down the collar and adhere with Glue Dots.

Punch out your bow using the Bow Builder Punch. Punch out twice, you will need a couple extra pieces to make the pocket and handkerchief.

Adhere your bow to just under the collar. See the piece that you wrap around the bow in the center, punch out another piece like that one in Soft Suede.

This is how you make the pocket. Use the little extra piece you punched out with the Bow Builder Punch (Soft Suede) for the pocket.  Use the left over Cajun Craze bow pieces to make the handkerchief. Adhere pocket and handkerchief to the vest using Stampin’Dimensionals.

Add your greeting on the inside on the shirt.

Such a fun project. Of course you can jazz the vest up by adding Designer Series Paper to the outside.

Here is one I made using some Designer Series Paper adhered to the Soft Suede cardstock. It really changes the appearance and so does adding a different button.

The Designer Series Paper I used is currently retired. I hope you like this project! I just had to share it, it is fun to make. Supplies needed will be listed below minus the DSP.  Add your favorite button! By the way, this card fits in a A6 size envelope or you can make your own with the Envelope Punch Board.
