I used a card sketch for the layout of this card.

I chose not to add the banner, I thought it looked better without it. This is a great way to come up with a layout for your cards. There are plenty of card sketches online. This one came from

I colored the ice cream with a Stampin’Write marker as I did not have the stamp pad. That is why it looks a little streaky. For the cherry I just cut it out of Watermelon Wonder cardstock and colored the stem with a Chocolate Chip Stampin’Write Marker!

I hope you all enjoyed my card for today and it inspires you to CREATE! See the supply list below for everything I used to make this card.

Remember the bundle price (10% off) will be no longer available after May 31! The bundle includes the Cool Treats stamp set and Frozen Treats Framelits. The Watermelon Wonder color is retiring May 31 as well.

A Very Sweet Cool Treats Card

I took time this morning to make this card! I am tired today due to my past week of work at the hospital! Being a nurse is a tough job physically and mentally! It wears me out! But I would do it all over again! And that statement is coming from a nurse who is close to retirement! It is rewarding work, plus you learn something new everyday. But, as you get older, your body lets you know that this is a physically demanding occupation!

I find that paper crafting relaxes me and takes me away from the stress of the day. It is good for your mental health to have a hobby you enjoy. It is important!

Now enough about my fatigue and on to my card. Isn’t it cute! Although, as I am typing this, I realize it says ” You are the Cherry to my Sundae” I should have incorporated the Sundae image!!! I think I will put that image inside the card somehow.

I used Stampin’Write markers to color the image and I cut out the little cherry with the framelit in the Frozen Treats Framelits collection. I cut it out of Watermelon Wonder cardstock and just colored the stem with the Chocolate Chip Stampin’Write marker.

Of course, I ¬†smudged my card with a little Watermelon ink due to my inky fingers! I hate when that happens and you think by now I would be more careful and make sure it doesn’t happen!

I hope you like my card and it inspires you to CREATE! See below for the supply list. Click on the image in the list and it will take you to my store.
